I had to laugh when I saw this headline reported in the la times.
Heres an excerpt :
"The sky is falling! Florida residents reported seeing a flickering light falling off the state's eastern coast Sunday night, raising curiosity over whether Earth has played host to yet another meteor.
reports from the American Meteor Society's website generally stated the falling light happened sometime after 6:30 p.m. local time, with sightings from Cocoa, Fla., all the way down to Miami"
Why did I laugh you may ask? Because people are so busy going about their daily lives that they never look up. Meteors fall every single night, some are faint shooting stars but it is not exactly rare to see a bright one and if your lucky you will catch a bolide with a little pop at the end as it disintegrates.
So yeah the sky is falling....everyday :) The Russian meteor just has people looking for a change.
